Rototom Sunsplash 2015: mai mulți artiști confirmați la Showcase Club

Trupe și artiști din țări precum Franța, Italia, Brazilia, Spania, Germania, Belgia, Olanda, Chile, Mexic, Argentina, Peru sau Camerun vor concerta la scena Showcase Club organizată în interiorul festivalului Rototom Sunsplash 2015.

Ca și în precedentele două ediții, această scenă are scopul de a propune iubitorilor de reggae tineri artiști mai puțin cunoscuți, dar extrem de talentați.

La cea de-a douăzecișidoua ediție a festivalului Rototom Sunsplash îi vom putea asculta la Showcase Club pe Broussai, o trupă franceză extrem de apreciată în hexagon, pe Sara Lugo, noul star al Germaniei, acompaniat fiind de către Next Generation Family, pe Flavia Coelho, o artistă originară din Brazilia ce tocmai a lansat un nou album – Mundo Meu, pe Train To Roots, o formație italiană extrem de energică sau pe spaniolii de la Malaka Youth, pentru a numi doar cinci nume mai importante.

De asemenea, dorim să vă aducem aminte că festivalul Rototom Sunsplash se va desfășura în perioada 15 – 22 august în Benicassim, Spania, iar până pe data de 7 iunie biletele pentru 8 zile de festival costă 180 euro, și 220 euro cu camping inclus.

The Showcase Stage brings international emerging talent together

The Showcase Stage, the stage that Rototom Sunsplash dedicates to promoting the new talents of reggae music will have a first class lineup with a wide range of international talent. Bands from countries like France, Italy, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Cameroon, will all represent, in the same space, their new musical proposals emerging from different parts of the planet.

Among the first to confirm among the fifty or so groups in the lineup, names like Broussai, one of the flagships of French reggae, will open the Showcase Stage on Saturday, 15 August. With more than 600 live shows behind them, the group has proved their capacity to bring down the house. Two of their last three albums, Perspectives and Kingston Town, were voted best the best French reggae albums in 2010 and 2013, respectively.

The Cameroonians Dr Sley & The Green Soljas, who have been recognized internationally for their social commitment and the quality of their work, will also be onstage on Saturday 15 Rototom Sunsplash.

The creativity, positivism and determination of the Italians Train To Roots, who return after taking a year out, will take over the stage on Sunday the 16th; while the Brazilian artist Flavia Coelho, who in recent years has managed to create a space for herself on the French musical scene, will be at the Showcase Stage on Monday the 17th.

That same day, you can enjoy the explosive energy of the Belgians Atomic Spliff & The Rebel Dubz, finalists of last year’s edition of the Reggae Contest Europe, as well as the Mexicans Viento Roots, one of the most active Latin American reggae bands, who have performed with artists like Ky-Many Marley, The Skatalites, Matisyahu, Alborosie, Mala Rodríguez and Cultura Profética.

The Germans Martin Zobel Soulrise, whose one of their last work, Land Of The Free, converted them in the first German band to be nominated for a Grammy award in the category of Best Reggae Album, will perform on Wednesday the 18th, as will their compatriots Sara Lugo & Next Generation Family.

On Thursday the 20th The Banyans from France will bring the authentic spirit of Jamaican roots reggae from the 70’s, while on Saturday the 22nd the Italians Playa Desnuda – who this year celebrate their tenth anniversary performing live -, the talented Franco-Dutch Leah Rosier & Rise and Shine Band feat Mr Aya, will close the lineup together with the combination of dub, roots reggae, jazz and electronic music of the Italo-Austrian band Sisyphos.

Among the Spanish groups who will display their musical talents on the Showcase Stage, some names stand out like that of Amparo Sanchez, who will give a solo concert on Friday the 21st, after having performed the day before on Main Stage in the special tribute concert Singing to Marley, with which Rototom Sunsplash intends to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the birth of the most international reggae artist of all times.

The festival’s public will also be able to enjoy the Sharp verses of the Catalans Jah Nato & Baboon Roots (Friday 21); the rhythm fusion of the Valencians Alberto Tarín Jazz & Reggae Band, that on this occasion will also have Payoh Soul Rebel as their guest of honor (Sunday 16th); the winners of the Iberian Reggae Contest 2014, Malaka Youth (Sunday 16th); the Jamaican vibes and solid live show of The Gramaphone Allstars Big Band (Monday 17th); or the power and energy of Los Granadians del Espacio Exterior (Thursday 20th), with many others besides.
